Dr. G.K Munger
Veterinarian and Medical Director
Education: Colorado State University
Prior to founding Companion Animal Veterinary Hospital in 1984, Dr. Munger received both his Bachelor of Science in Zoology and his Veterinary Medical degree from Colorado State University. His primary interest is in surgery, both soft tissue and orthopedic. He is currently the chairman of the advisory board for the Veterinary Technician Program at Colorado Mountain College in Glenwood Springs, Colorado. Dr Munger lives with his wife, Angie, and his school-age son, they own three Cavalier King Charles Spaniels, Savannah, Sammy, and Spartacus. Since retiring from ice hockey several years ago, he now enjoys running and golf as his hobbies. Dr. Munger thoroughly enjoys his career here at Companion Animal Veterinary Hospital.
Dr. Megan Bossio
Veterinarian
Dr. Megan Bossio is a compassionate veterinarian dedicated to providing exceptional care to her patients. With expertise in surgery, internal medicine, reproduction, and ultrasound, she prioritizes effective communication and tailors treatment plans to fit clients’ budgets. Outside of work, she enjoys hiking, kayaking, and trying new restaurants. Originally from Nashville, Dr. Wright now calls Colorado home, along with her lovable young male Lewellin Setter, Benny.
Dr. K.J Benson
Veterinarian and Medical Director
Education: University of Colorado at Boulder, Colorado State University
Dr. Benson received her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the University of Colorado at Boulder. She attended veterinary school at Colorado State University and graduated with her DVM degree in 1998. Dr. Benson began at Companion Animal Veterinary Hospital as an associate veterinarian in August 2000, and she bought into the practice as a half-owner in September of 2015. Her main veterinary interests are soft tissue surgery, pain management, and greyhound medicine. She has owned two fabulous greyhounds and a beautiful black Labrador in the past. Other members of the family include her husband of over 20 years, Jim, and two great-kids. Outside of veterinary medicine, she enjoys camping, skiing, stand-up paddle boarding, and playing the French horn in the Highlands Ranch Concert Band.
Dru Anne
Receptionist
Dru Anne started at Companion in January 2007. She is married and has three adult children, including identical twin daughters. She also has an adorable young grandson whom she adores! Dru Anne is involved with service dogs, and she has raised guide dog puppies for 24 years. Not only does she have three of her own dogs; including two mastiffs, and one golden retriever, you’ll likely see her at the clinic with her current guide dog in training. Dru Anne enjoys quilting, reading, and working with her dogs.
Dev
Veterinary Assistant
We’re thrilled to introduce you to Dev, our vibrant Veterinary Assistant with a heart for animals. Originally from the sunny deserts of Arizona, Dev followed her passion for veterinary medicine to the picturesque landscapes of Colorado back in 2022. Since 2020, Dev has been immersed in the world of veterinary medicine, dedicating herself to the care and well-being of our furry friends. Her journey in this field has been both fulfilling and rewarding, and she’s excited to bring her expertise to our team. In 2023, Dev’s life took an exciting turn when she married her husband, Dylan. Together, they share their home with three adorable cats: Jinx, Tux, and Linux. These fur babies bring endless joy and laughter to their lives. But Dev’s dedication to animals doesn’t stop there. She’s currently pursuing her degree in Associates of Applied Science in Veterinary Technology, driven by a desire to deepen her knowledge and skills in the field. As part of her journey, Dev is also participating in an apprenticeship program at Companion to become a Certified Veterinary Technician, furthering her commitment to providing top-notch care to our furry companions. When she is not attending to patients you will find her enjoying Denver’s incredible food scene and spending time with her husband and cats.
Vanessa
CVT
Vanessa graduated from the Community College of Denver with Associate of Science degree in Veterinary Technology, and has been a certified Veterinary Technician since 2019. She takes pride in providing excellent veterinary care for her patients, but especially enjoys anesthesia and dental procedures. Vanessa is a mother of two sweet kids and two sweet pitbulls, and when she is not playing with her kids and dogs she enjoys reading.
Katelin
Receptionist
Katelin comes from a culinary background but has always been passionate about animals and quality customer service. She is dedicated to ensuring the highest standard of care for our patients and clients alike, and likes to keep things fun and educational on Companion’s social media pages! When Katelin is not attending to client needs, she enjoys spending time outside with her boyfriend and German Shepherd, Louis, and of course cooking.
Vanessa
CVT
Vanessa earned her associate’s degree in Veterinary Technology from the Community College of Denver in 2019 and joined the Companion Animal Hospital team shortly thereafter. During her free time, she enjoys working her other job as a waitress, scrapbooking, and spending time with her husband and young son. She owns an elderly cat named Loki and a sweet mixed-breed dog named Mary Jane.

Noah’s journey into the world of veterinary medicine began with a chance encounter and blossomed into a lifelong passion. Introduced to the field by a close friend, Noah found himself captivated by the intricate bond between animals and their caregivers, sparking an interest in the industry that continues to grow. Originally hailing from the Lone Star State of Texas, Noah brings a blend of Southern charm and professional expertise to his role as a Certified Veterinary Technician. His commitment to providing compassionate care is evident in every interaction, as he strives to ensure the well-being of every furry patient that crosses his path. At home, Noah is accompanied by his faithful companions: Levi, his loyal dog, and Lil’ Mama, his mischievous feline friend. When he’s not busy caring for furry friends, Noah enjoys indulging in his hobbies. From revving up his motorcycle to hitting the gym for a workout session, Noah embraces an active lifestyle. He’s also a passionate sports fan, with a particular love for basketball and hockey. With his dedication, expertise, and love for animals, Noah is a valuable asset to our team, ensuring that every patient receives the highest standard of care.

Veterinary Assistant
Jennifer is a dedicated veterinary assistant with the admiral dream of becoming a veterinarian herself. Currently balancing her passion for animal care with her studies, Jennifer is on a mission to turn her love for animals into a lifelong career. She is currently attending the Community College of Denver. Her warm personality and strong work ethic shine through in everything she does, whether she’s caring for animals or serving customers with a friendly demeanor. At home, Jennifer is surrounded by the love of her two dogs, Vyola and Theo. When she is looking for some downtime, Jennifer enjoys riding horses, playing basketball and volleyball. As Jennifer pursues her dream of becoming a veterinarian, she’s fueled by her passion for animals and her unwavering determination to make a difference in their lives. With her dedication and enthusiasm, there’s no doubt that Jennifer will achieve her goals and continue to make a positive impact on the world of veterinary medicine.

Emilee is the heart and soul of our clinic, wearing multiple hats with grace and expertise. As both a veterinary assistant and receptionist, she’s the ultimate “Jill of all trades,” seamlessly juggling various responsibilities to ensure the smooth operation of our practice. With a deep-seated passion for animal care, Emilee is currently pursuing her dream of becoming a veterinarian. Her dedication to learning and growing in the field is evident in everything she does, from assisting our veterinary team to greeting clients with a warm smile at the front desk. Outside of work and school, Emilee leads a fulfilling life surrounded by her furry companions. With six dogs by her side, she’s created a bustling and loving household filled with wagging tails and endless affection. Recently, Emilee also embraced a new role as an aunt, cherishing the opportunity to shower her niece with love and adoration. When she’s not busy at the clinic or spending time with her beloved pets, Emilee can be found indulging in her favorite hobbies of hiking and traveling. With a thirst for adventure and a love for the great outdoors, she’s always seeking new trails to explore and new destinations to discover. Emilee’s dedication, compassion, and versatility make her an invaluable member of our team. Whether she’s assisting with patient care, managing appointments, or simply lending a listening ear, her unwavering commitment to animals and their well-being shines through in everything she does.

Emily is a Colorado native and the bubbliest person we know! She brings the warmth of Colorado to our front desk and embodies the friendliness and hospitality of her home state. When Emily isn’t attending to clients, she’s at home doting on her two beloved cats, Nala and Oliver. They keep her on her toes and keep things OFF the counter. But Emily’s passion doesn’t end with her feline friends. She’s currently pursuing her degree in early education, driven by a desire to make a positive impact on young minds. Her bubbly personality and nurturing spirit make her a natural fit for this field.
